After extensive restoration work, the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park has reopened, signalling the start of the area’s annual summer visitor season. This year’s gate-raising had special significance because it marked the first time the public has been able to access the area’s famous viewpoints, trails and campgrounds since the Dragon Bravo Fire swept across the region last year.
