Visit USA Expo 2024 Unveils a Grand Showcase in Brisbane

Brisbane, 21 February 2024 – Last night, the Visit USA Expo 2024 made a dazzling appearance in Brisbane, drawing more than 80 prominent US exhibitors to the river city. Held at the Brisbane Convention Centre for the first time, the Expo was a feast for the more than 150 travel advisors who joined the event, delivering essential updates directly from the USA and treating agents to an unforgettable evening.

Mike Goldman hosted the event to great fanfare, offering agents the chance to win incredible prizes, donated by the exhibitors. The exhibition hall, presentation sessions, and Responsible Tourism Panel were met with overwhelming enthusiasm, as agents gained first-hand updates and insights direct from the USA.

It wasn’t all work with plenty of play on offer too, including a snowy photo booth sponsored by Colorado Tourism Office, Aspen Snowmass,  Limelight Hotels, Vail Resorts and East West Hospitality, a delicious dessert cart thanks to Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, and a spectacular Southwest Food Station, celebrating American Airlines BNE-DFW flight, thanks to Visit Dallas, Visit Fort Worth, Travel Texas and DFW Airport.

Special guest US Consul General for New South Wales and Queensland, Christine Elder, extended a warm welcome to agents, saying, “The U.S. Mission in Australia values our partnership with the travel industry, and we look forward to continuing to work together on promoting the U.S. as a destination.  A big thanks to Visit USA and to you all in the industry for promoting travel to the U.S.”

Caroline Davidson, President of Visit USA Australia, also thanked the agents, “I extend my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated agents who play a pivotal role in showcasing the wonders of the USA. Their expertise in promoting American travel experiences contribute significantly to the success of our industry. “

“The Visit USA Expos play a crucial role in fostering connections between US destinations, suppliers, and Australian travel agents. This year’s Expos are our biggest yet – a testament to the enthusiasm and demand for travel experiences in the USA.” said Caroline Davidson.

The Visit USA Expo 2024 now moves to Sydney, taking place tonight at The Fullerton Hotel.
