The Visit USA Expo Series wrapped up a successful three-day roadshow this week with a grand finale in Sydney following previous stops in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Almost 600 travel agents got into the spirit and connected with 60 exhibitors from across the USA who delivered the latest updates from across the nation from bucket-list destinations and awe-inspiring operators to headline-grabbing attractions and major hotel brands.

Charming host Simon Brook McLachlan brought his vibrant energy to proceedings, keeping the audience engaged, and on their toes, throughout the night. The vibes across the three shows were high as agents sipped on Cloud 9 cocktails courtesy of Aspen Snowmass, experienced Nevada, virtual reality style, tasted Portland’s famous Aviation American Gin and sat for live caricature portraits.

Visit USA President, Caroline Davidson emphasised the value of these types of events in continuing to champion travel to the United States.

“Travel agents play a vital role in inspiring Australians to experience everything the United States has to offer – from culture and cuisine to music, nightlife, sports, and stunning landscapes. The Visit USA Expos bring all of this to life for agents, making our Expo Series a powerful way to connect them with our US partners” Caroline said.

“We were thrilled by the energy, passion and engagement the local travel agent community brought to each of the Expo’s. They came out in force to discover the latest and greatest from the USA and we really value everything they do here in Australia,” she said.

Continuing with the all-marketplace format back again this year, agents enjoyed more one-on-one time with US exhibitors while discovering fresh US travel insights and developing powerful industry connections. One of the highlights of the Expo Series was the brand-new social media competition which sparked plenty of creativity (and friendly rivalry) from agents on @visitusa_au.
