Visit USA Australia Gives Thanks: Celebrating Community and Looking Ahead

Sydney, 28 November 2024 –  This morning, Visit USA Australia, in partnership with Brand USA, hosted its Annual Thanksgiving Breakfast at Grana in Sydney. The event brought together members, partners, and friends of the organisation to celebrate gratitude, reflect on achievements, and look ahead to an exciting year for the Australian travel industry.

Caroline Davidson, President of Visit USA Australia, opened the breakfast by expressing heartfelt thanks to the organisation’s members and partners.

“This morning is a celebration of community, collaboration, and the shared mission of promoting travel to the United States,” said Davidson. “We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our members, partners, and committee, whose efforts make it possible to inspire Australian travellers to explore the diverse destinations across the USA.”

A Year of Growth and Innovation

The breakfast highlighted Visit USA Australia’s achievements in 2024, including:

  • Hosting over 75 exhibitors and welcoming more than 700 agents at the Visit USA Expos.
  • Engaging hundreds of Australian travel agents through a successful 10-part Webinar Series.
  • Featuring David Huether, Deputy Director of Research at the U.S. National Travel and Tourism Office, in a groundbreaking Mid-Year Market Review presentation—the first of its kind outside the United States.
  • Launching a brand-new, purpose-built website to empower travel agents with enhanced tools, resources, and content to confidently promote U.S. destinations.

Davidson also shared an exciting glimpse into 2025, with the introduction of a new format for the Visit USA Expo Series, promising even more value and opportunities for members and agents.

Looking Ahead

“Today’s breakfast is not just about reflecting on the year that was; it’s about looking forward to what we can achieve together in the future,” Davidson remarked. “With the ongoing support of our incredible members and partners, Visit USA Australia is poised to continue driving growth, innovation, and inspiration in the Australian travel industry.”

The morning concluded with a special thanks to Brand USA and its team for co-hosting the event and for their continued partnership in promoting travel to the United States.

As the event concluded, attendees departed feeling energised to strengthen the connections that drive the vibrancy and success of the Australian travel trade—along with a delicious slice of pumpkin pie in hand!
